The FLEX gives direct control of equipment, such as hydronic reheat valves and air flow dampers. FLEX’s direct control uses PI (Proportional-Integral) control loops that can be tuned for optimum equipment calibration. Additional third-party controllers are not required as the FLEX eliminates this.

When equipment is under control by others, FLEX can write new setpoint values to command changes in pressure, airflow, humidity, temperature, or any user defined parameter. The FLEX allows for BACnet setpoint override because it features an override duration and cancel feature. This way the override value can be set to expire at a specific time, enabling energy savings.
