The RLI-80 Non-Contact Radar Level Sensor is a no-moving parts continuous level transmitter for reliable performance in challenging OEM and industrial tank level applications.Radar Level Sensor for Non Contact Installations

This liquid level sensor comes standard with 4–20 mA, Modbus, and Bluetooth® connectivity for configuration and setup. The RLI-80 provides accurate level measurement in medias with a dielectric constant of 2 or greater. Constructed of chemically inert PVDF material and designed to withstand IP67 conditions, the RLI-80 withstands the harshest conditions.

The 2" NPT mounting provides adaptability to be used in tanks as large as 49.2 ft (15 m). The RLI-80 is unaffected by changes in physical properties of the application such as pressure, temperature, or vapours.

RLI-80 Non Contact Level Sensor

This new product development is a zero maintenance, highly reliable solution for your level sensing needs. The model RLI-80’s non-contact design eliminates the requirement of material compatibility between the media and the sensor since it’s a through the air sensing technology.

For an introduction on the products features & benefits, please watch our video below:

  • Non-contact design ensures there are no issues with media coating that can occur on float-based sensors, causing them to fail.

  • The compact design reduces shipping cost and transit time compared to large stem and float-based sensors which may require large crates and special material handling.

  • RLI-80’s 80 GHz wavelength provides a narrow beam angle, ensuring high measurement accuracy and is not influenced from changes in moisture and high dust applications like Ultrasonic based sensors.

The following table outlines legacy products that the new RLI-80 Non-Contact Radar Level Sensor may replace. Please review all known application specifications prior to switching to the RLI-80. In certain applications, remaining with the existing legacy product may be the best option due to application specifics including but not limited to temperature, pressure, or approvals to name a few.
