Fibre Optic Incremental Encoders are typically used to sense the motion and speed of a motor shaft or linear actuator where conventional electronic-based encoders and resolvers are inadequate. Our Fibre Optic Incremental Encoders are based on an all-optical passive sensor design which optically connects to a remote controller.
The fibre optic incremental encoders product line is used to sense speed or relative position of a motor shaft or linear actuator. Unlike electronic-based encoder outputs which are easily corruptible by noise, fibre optic quadrature signals are inherently immune to EMI, RFI and ground loops.
